Civil Bank announces two-year high dividend of 8.42 percent

Kathmandu. Civil Bank has announced to distribute 8.42 percent dividend to the shareholders from the profit of the Fiscal Year 2076/77. Which is the highest dividend rate in the last two years.

The proposal was made at a meeting of the bank's board of directors on January 10. The meeting proposed a total dividend of 8.42 percent from the profit of the last fiscal year by giving 8 percent bonus of the paid-up capital and 0.42 percent cash (for tax purposes) to the shareholders.

The shareholders will get the dividend only after the proposal is approved by the Nepal Rastra Bank and passed by the next annual general meeting of the bank.

At present, the paid up capital of the bank is Rs. 8.33 billion. After the 8 percent bonus, the bank's paid-up capital will exceed Rs 8.64 billion.
