Civil Bank's profit declined by 35.84% Q2 Report 2077/078

Kathmandu,  Civil Bank has reported a net profit of Rs. 202 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. Profit is 35.84% lower than last year. Last year, the bank had earned a profit of Rs 316.2 million. Civil's distributable profit also declined by 26.47%.

By mid-January, Civil's net interest income had declined by 21.65% and operating profit by 39.55%.

The bank has managed to increase its deposits by 60.39% and credit investments by 37.83%.

The bank has reduced its NPL ratio from 2.69% to 1.70%. Civil's earnings per share fell by Rs 2.83 to Rs 5.9. Its net worth per share is Rs 129.83.
