Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has set a new record with the highest number of transactions on the last day of the year (Thursday). The turnover in Nepse was Rs 9.89 billion. This turnover is still high. Earlier, a turnover of Rs 9.37 billion was recorded in Nepse on Sunday, January 26, 2010.
According to Nepse, Nepse has decreased by 16.55 points and reached 2425.29 points. Similarly, out of the total 12 sub-groups traded, 3 groups have increased while the other 9 groups have decreased. The share price of nine companies has risen by more than 9 percent.
Among the companies that will grow by more than 9 percent are Suryodaya Microfinance Institution, Prabhu Life Insurance, Arambha Chautari Microfinance, Sarathi Nepal Microfinance, Everest Insurance Company, Garima Development Bank, Shikhar Insurance, Himalayan Distillery and Support Microfinance.
In the last trading session of the year, except for the three groups, the rest of the groups have gone to Ratamme. Non-life insurance increased by 410 points, manufacturing by 167 points and microfinance by 87 points. The largest development bank group has declined by 43 points. Similarly, hotel group including life insurance 42 and commercial bank 41 have declined by 25 points.
