Nepal Rastra Bank has raised Rs. 1 crore to buy 300 million coins. The central bank has agreed to buy coins worth 51.15 million from Mennika Polska Company of Warsaw, Poland.

Accordingly, a purchase agreement was signed with the company on Tuesday for the supply and supply of new coin designs, according to the NRB Currency Management Department.

NRB had invited bids for the supply of new coin designs and supply of the said amount on December 6.
