Kathmandu. The total share capital value of the companies listed in the Nepal Securities secondary market i.e. the total market capitalization amount is Rs. 35.20 billion 227 million 54 thousand.

 Companies are listed in 13 groups, including mutual funds, in the secondary market.

Of the 13 groups, commercial banks have the largest share in the secondary market. Though 27 commercial banks are in operation, Rastriya Banijya Bank has not issued ordinary shares so far. As of the last trading day of the 26 listed commercial banks, the total market capitalization stood at Rs. 1351.37 billion. The securities of these banks are listed in the secondary market with 2 billion 888 million 791 thousand 862 shares. Banks account for 38.39 percent of the total market capitalization based on their total share price.

Of the 26 commercial banks, Nabil Bank has the highest total market capitalization. The total share price of the bank i.e. total market capitalization is Rs. 165.40 billion 15.43 million. The bank, which has the highest market value among commercial banks, had a final share price of Rs. 1 thousand 227. Nabil Bank has 134.8 million 1 thousand 584 shares listed in the secondary market. Nabil Bank has been paying attractive dividends to its shareholders, which has attracted more investors.

This year too, the bank has paid the highest dividend of 35.26 percent among commercial banks.
