Kathmandu. Police have arrested Diwakar Shrestha, 41, of Godavari Municipality-14, Lalitpur on Saturday on charges of cheating.

With the involvement of Diwakar and other officials of the organization, the public was asked to deposit money in the organization believing that they would pay more interest if they deposited money in their organization.

Police have accused him of swindling around Rs 798.96 million.

 He was arrested from Chitwan Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the depositors at the Metropolitan Police Complex, Lalitpur on March 19. Police is conducting further investigation in this regard.
