The Ministry of Health is set to investigate the deaths after reports of people dying from corona vaccination came from the district.

Dr. Dhanraj Aryal, Chief of Investigation of the Unwanted Incident Study Committee, said that eight people died after the vaccination and the cause was being investigated.

Nepal had started a ten-day vaccination campaign on January 29 after the Indian government gifted one million doses of covsild vaccine. In the first phase, those in the front line were vaccinated.

In the second phase, the government vaccinated people over the age of 60. Currently, 1.67 million people in Nepal have been vaccinated for the first time.

‘All the cases that have come up are in the second age vaccinated elderly people,’ said Dr. Aryal said, "No one has complained that it was due to vaccination." But, after vaccination, when something happens to someone, there is a system to study it. '

Aryal said data collection was underway and a report could be received by next week. The team includes staff from the Ministry and the World Health Organization.
