A man has been arrested in the Philippines for violating a government-imposed lockdown curfew caused by the corona virus epidemic.
Those who broke the rules were forced to stand up 300 times as punishment. The man's condition worsened to the point that he died.
The death of 28-year-old Darren has put pressure on Philippine police. According to the news, the men had come out of the house to buy water. But he was arrested on the way by a local group for violating the lockdown curfew and taken to a police station.
Darren was forced to stand up hundreds of times at the police station as punishment. Exhausted after paying the sentence, Darren finally reached home. As soon as he reached home, he told his wife that his body was in great pain and he lay down on the bed saying that he had a ring. Then he could not get up. Why did the wife do this? When asked, he said he was forced to stand up at the police station 300 times.
He said that in the beginning it was said to stand up 100 times but it was done 300 times.
According to Darren's wife, he had heart disease and many other problems. Darren's family has demanded an investigation into the incident, saying he died as a result of police brutality.
