Bhaktapur: Six people died in Bhaktapur on Saturday due to corona virus infection. Earlier, four infected people had died on the same day.

According to the Bhaktapur Health Office, six people, including five men and one woman, died on Saturday after the outbreak of corona virus with a new variant.

Chief of the office Krishna Mijar said that out of the four municipalities of Bhaktapur, 2-2 men from Madhyapur Thimi and Suryabinayak and one man and one woman from Changunarayan died of the infection.

At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona virus infection in Bhaktapur has reached 147. Of them, 96 are men and 51 are women, said Mijar.

The highest number of deaths has been reported in Bhaktapur so far. A total of 51 infected people including 35 men and 16 women have lost their lives here.

After Madhyapur Thimi, 50 people including 32 men and 18 women of Bhaktapur Municipality, 33 people including 20 men and 13 women of Suryabinayak and 13 people including 9 men and 4 women of Changunarayan Municipality have died.

With the spread of corona virus infection with new variants, corona virus infection has increased rapidly in Bhaktapur. The number of active infected people has reached 3,589.
