A few weeks still challenging of Covid -19 Corona Virus in Nepal

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has said that the epidemic of Kovid-19 will remain challenging in Nepal for a few weeks. The ministry said in a statement that all those who are still challenging for a few weeks should work together with restraint and cooperation. Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the health sector was fighting day and night against Kovid-19 but the infection could not be reduced as much as it should have been.

He said that it was due to the mass transition in the name of social activities such as marriage, fasting, Chaurasi Puja and political activities such as gatherings and inaugurations. He said that the infection was increasing due to non-implementation of public health standards issued for the prevention and control of COVID-19. He urged to adhere to public health standards and prohibitions. He acknowledged that there was still a 59 percent reduction in air traffic during the embargo, and said that air traffic should be stopped altogether.

"Despite the difficulties in public life, we still seem to be secretly or openly violating the injunctions for infection prevention, control, preparation, co-ordination, etc.," he said in a statement. He said that the fight against the corona virus was not the responsibility of the ministry alone but of all and that everyone should help in its prevention, treatment and control.
