Kathmandu. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sameer Chandra Kharel of Nepal Police has died due to Kovid-19 virus.

According to the Naxal Police Headquarters, Kharel died on Monday while undergoing treatment at the Police Hospital, Maharajgunj.

Returning from a UN peacekeeping mission, he had recently been working at the Naxal Police Headquarters.

Earlier, DSP Raj Kumar KC of Kathmandu Police died while undergoing treatment at the Police Hospital.
