Kathmandu. Citizens Bank has been aggressive in acquisitions and mergers. As per the Regulation on Merger and Acquisition of Banks and Financial Institutions, 2073, Citizens Bank International Limited has entered into a final agreement with Sirjana Finance Limited, a Biratnagar-headquartered company, to obtain a Class C license from Nepal Rastra Bank. The letter is signed.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday by Prabal Jung Pandey, director and coordinator of the merger and acquisition committee, and Subash Acharya, director of the merger and acquisition committee on behalf of Sirjana Finance Limited.

The bank has claimed that the deposits raised from the public will be around Rs 137 billion after the acquisition of Sirjana Finance Limited and the loan investment given to the public will be around Rs 121 billion.
