Apply Smart Lockdown in Kathmandu Valley, seven countries flights opening

Kathmandu. The government plans to ease the current ban in the Kathmandu Valley from next week. According to news sources, the decision was taken at a meeting of the Covid-19 Management Steering Committee (CCMC) held on Wednesday night.

The production and supply of essential commodities will be resumed in 'Smart Lock Down'. The committee has come to the conclusion that the ongoing lockdown will continue and the required areas will be opened by assessing the condition and strictly following the health standards.

The committee has concluded that some areas will be opened gradually as it will be difficult to keep the economy afloat in the long run.

A meeting chaired by the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee KP Sharma Oli at the PM's residence in Baluwatar till late at night has also decided to resume flights to Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan and Malaysia.
