However, in the 39th minute of the match, England got the gift of a suicide goal and drew 1-1. England equalized with a suicide goal by Simon Keger.
Captain Kane scored in the 104th minute of extra time to give England a 2-1 victory. He scored on a rebound from a penalty kick. England, winners of the 1966 World Cup, have yet to win a Euro Cup title.
England, who reached the semi-finals of the Euro Cup in 1968 and 1996, did not reach the final England will now compete with Italy in the final. Italy beat Spain 4-2 in a penalty shootout in the first semifinal to reach the final.
