Rastriya Banijya Bank  launched credit card service

Kathmandu. Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited has launched credit card service on Tuesday to reduce the risk in cash transactions. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Ram Sharan Pudasaini inaugurated the service by handing over a credit card to the bank's customer and Chairman of Asian Life Insurance Company Deepak Kumar Shrestha. Speaking on the occasion, Ram Sharan Pudasaini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, said that new banking products should be researched as per the desires of the customers.

Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that the bank is moving towards full digital banking after the launch of Credit Card. At the function, Deputy Executive Officer Devesh Prasad Lohani said that the credit card issued at a cheaper interest rate in the competitive market can be given a credit limit of Rs 20,000 to Rs 500,000 depending on the income source and payment capacity of the customer.

Rishi Ram Dhakal, head of the digital banking department, said that credit card customers have the facility to make daily payments, online shopping and withdraw cash within the prescribed limits.

The bank currently has 247 branch offices, 209 ATMs and 98 branchless banking in 77 districts. The function was attended by Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Kaviraj Adhikari, Deputy Executive Officer Saraswati Adhikari, departmental heads, chairpersons of active trade unions and other employees of the bank.
