Purushottam Chaulagain (Kathmandu Bouddha)  is the 'Nepal Champion' of Chess. Chess is not only a sport for men, it is also a passion. The same passion, attachment, inclination and perseverance made Purushottam the Nepal Champion in the game of Chess.

He has been working for Standard Chartered Bank for the last 10 years. He is currently working as an assistant manager in the bank. He says, ‘Bank job is my career and chess is my passion.

He says that he started playing chess after class 10 by giving more time. "I started playing chess only after SLC. Before that, I only watched my brothers play. I learned a lot by watching. After 10th class, I started playing well.

He tells the bankers that chase is inevitable. He suggests that bankers should play chess as it plays an important role in brain development.
