Kathmandu. The new banknote exchange is scheduled to start on September 20. Nepal Rastra Bank has made arrangements to exchange new notes from targeting Dashain Tihar.
Revati Prasad Nepal, executive director of the money management department of Nepal Rastra Bank, said that a new banknote exchange has been arranged from October 19 targeting Dashain Tihar. The general public can exchange old notes for new ones.
According to him, only Rs 18,500 per person will be able to exchange new notes. This year, NRB has made arrangements to exchange new notes through all commercial banks.
He said that new notes can be exchanged from the central office of Nepal Rastra Bank in Baluwatar, 10 branches of all commercial banks and provincial offices in all the seven states.

Similarly, even if you live near Nepal Rastra Bank, you can go to Nepal Rastra Bank and exchange new notes. Similarly, new notes can be exchanged through the provincial office of a commercial bank.
