Rupendehi. Four people have been killed in a clash with police at Motipur Industrial Area in Rupandehi district on Sunday. Four people have been killed in a clash with police in Butwal of Rupandehi district.

According to the Universal Medical College, Bhairahawa, 13 people, including five policemen, were brought for treatment. Three died on arrival at the hospital and another died during treatment.One of the victims is Ramesh Pariyar, 48, of Ward No. 10 of Banganga Municipality in Kapilvastu. The identities of others have not been revealed.

When the administration tried to use force to remove the encroached settlement, the locals started attacking the police. Police opened fire at the scene. Police have not disclosed the name and address of the deceased. Nine people, including five policemen and four civilians, are being treated there.

At present, the District Administration Office, Rupendehi has issued a curfew order in Motipur.
