The insurance company collected Rs 47.87 billion in premiums

Kathmandu. In the first three months of the current fiscal year, insurance companies have earned significant amount of premiums. According to the Insurance Committee, life and non-life insurance companies have collected premiums worth Rs 47.87 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. Which is 20.11 percent more than last year. The companies had collected only Rs. 39.86 billion in the first quarter of the last fiscal year 2077/78.

Life insurance companies have earned Rs 38.18 billion in insurance premiums in the first three months of the current fiscal year. Life insurance companies had earned Rs 32.28 billion in the same period last fiscal year. Insurance companies have managed to expand their market by 18.28 percent compared to the same period last year.

Non-life insurance companies have earned Rs 9.69 billion in insurance premiums in the first three months of the current fiscal year. Non-life insurance companies have managed to increase their premium income by 27.88 percent as compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. 7.58 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.
