Kathmandu, Sundar Prasad Kandel has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Siddhartha Bank. A meeting of the bank's board of directors has appointed Kandel as chief executive officer for the next four years. Earlier, Shambhunath Gautam, the then chief executive officer of the bank, had decided to retire from the service of the bank after completing his four-year tenure.

He has more than three decades of working experience in the banking sector. Kandel, who has a bachelor's degree in management, has been working in the bank for the past 16 years in various senior management positions. He has been the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank for the past four years. Kendall also worked for Nabil Bank for about 17 years before joining Siddhartha Bank.
