Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has adopted a 'work from home' policy after the outbreak of corona virus, which has spread like a global epidemic, started increasing again. Nepal Rastra Bank has directed to provide all services and facilities from home except essential.

Spokesperson of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Gunakar Bhatta said that the service of 'Work from Home' has been started from Sunday. According to him, more than 100 employees of NRB have been given the facility to work from home after the corona infection.

NRB has already issued notice to banks and financial institutions to be vigilant. The National Bank of Nepal (NBN) on Monday issued a notice directing the A, B, C and D class banks and financial institutions licensed by the bank to provide safe services.

The bank had issued the directive using the authority given by Article 79 of the National Bank Act, 2058 BS.

Banking services have been affected as the Covid-19 infection has started increasing in banks and financial institutions now. Many banks have now issued circulars to keep their employees safe.

Nabil Bank has decided to close various branches saying that Corona has increased. The bank has stated that its branches at New Road, Pulchowk, Bhansepati, Anamnagar and Hetauda will be closed today. The remaining branches will be open only from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the bank said in a statement.
