Kathmandu. Banks and financial companies are announcing dividends in a hurry. The companies have declared dividends to their shareholders from the profits of the last financial year 2078/79. Out of 26 commercial banks in operation, 11 banks have announced dividend distribution to their shareholders. Apart from these, 15 other commercial banks are preparing to declare dividends.

Citizen Bank, Kumari Bank, Sanima Bank, Nepal Credit and Karmash (NCC) Bank, Global IME Bank, Bank of Kathmandu, Standard Chartered, Nepal Investment, Everest, Prabhu and Mega Bank have declared dividends. Although some banks have the ability to give more dividends, they give less dividends to the shareholders. The rest will focus on business expansion by themselves. However, some banks distribute dividends even after reaching the maximum point of their capacity.

Nabil Bank : Nabil Bank is also the preferred bank of investors. The bank has been distributing attractive dividends for investors. It is seen that the bank will distribute high returns to its shareholders this year. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of the bank last year, it has the ability to distribute 39.94 percent dividend this year. The distributable profit of the bank in the fourth quarter of last year was 9.12 billion 1 lakh rupees. The paid up capital of the bank is 22 billion 83 crore 29 lakh 9 thousand rupees. Based on which, the bank has the ability to give that dividend.

NIC Asia Bank : From last year's profit, NIC Asia Bank has the ability to give 33.26 percent dividend to its shareholders. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of last year, the bank will be able to give the said dividend.
