Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank has completed the 'NIC Asia Merchant Meet 2023' program. NIC Asia Bank Limited, which is promoting digital banking with the long-term goal of becoming the 'Digital First Bank', has concluded the 'NIC Asia Merchant Meet 2023' on 13th January with the theme of 'Celebrating Digital Partnership'.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Jayendra Rawal, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, and more than 150 business partners of the Bank operating in Kathmandu Valley enthusiastically participated.
According to the bank, the program was organized in honor of the merchants' support for the bank's long-term goal of becoming the "Digital First Bank" by adopting the "Digital Nepal Framework" and the development of information technology in the global market.
In the event, Shyam Prasad Lamichhane, head of the bank's lifestyle banking universe, informed about the various digital services that the bank is currently providing and the services that the bank is going to launch in the future. Also, the bank is planning to organize such programs in the future in different places of the country.
So far, more than 2.1 lakh mobile banking customers, 1.4 lakh more debit and credit card holders, 2 lakh more QR merchants, 4 thousand more POS merchants and 300 more e-commerce merchants as well as organizations related to various payment systems are cooperating with the bank.
NIC Asia Bank is one of the banks with the largest number of banking networks in the country. This bank has expanded 359 branch offices, 473 ATMs, 106 extended counters and 81 branchless branch networks across the country.
