The number of property insurers increased by 385 percent,  5 billion more premiums collected

Kathmandu. Non-life insurance companies have earned more than 5 billion insurance fees in 7 months through property insurance. This is shown by the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority. Recently, the insurance fee has also increased with the increase in the number of people insuring property.

During that period, through the property insurance business of non-life insurance companies, they earned 5 billion 147 million 7 thousand rupees in insurance fees. June is 384.78 percent more than the first month of the current year i.e. July. By the month of January, companies have issued a total of 287 thousand 16 insurance policies under property insurance.

In the month of last July, the companies earned 1 billion 617 million 11 thousand rupees in insurance fees through property insurance. In that month, the companies issued 43 thousand 538 insurance policies for property insurance.

Until last January, through property insurance, the companies have collected a total of 4 billion 46 crore 85 lakh 85 thousand rupees insurance fee. By that period, the companies had issued a total of 245,553 insurance policies.

Similarly, in November they earned 3 billion 47 crore 31 lakh 30 thousand rupees, in October 2 billion 87 crore 12 lakh 89 thousand, in October 2 billion 35 crore 72 lakh 29 thousand and in August they earned 1 billion 73 crore 61 lakh 20 thousand rupees. The companies had issued 2 lakh 1 thousand 584, 1 lakh 63 thousand 256, 1 lakh 30 thousand 238 and 89 thousand 663 insurance policies under property insurance in these months respectively.

Bagmati province has collected the highest amount of insurance fee under property insurance till January of the current year. During that period, companies have earned a total of 2 billion 95 crore 72 lakh 71 thousand rupees in insurance fees from Bagmati. Companies have issued 1 lakh 7 thousand 299 insurance policies under property insurance in Bagmati province.

Insurance fee of 696.6652 thousand rupees has been collected from Koshi province which is in the second place. Insurance companies that insure property in that province issued 44,400 insurance policies.

553.8 million rupees insurance fee has been earned from Lumbini province which is in the third place. Non-life insurance companies that insure property have issued 48 thousand 106 insurance policies in Lumbini province. During that period, the lowest insurance fee of 538 lakh 7 thousand was earned from Karnali province through property insurance. In that province, companies have issued 9,522 insurance policies under property insurance.

Similarly, 4882 million 95 thousand rupees have been collected from Madhesh province through property insurance, 24 million 97 million 53 thousand rupees from Gandaki province and 14 million 73 million 91 thousand rupees from Sudurpaschim. Companies have issued 27 thousand 850, 31 thousand 283 and 18 thousand 556 insurance policies respectively under property insurance in these provinces.
