Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has issued 'Integrated Circular - 2079' regarding foreign exchange transactions. The National Bank has issued such a circular for 'A' class commercial banks, national level 'B' class development banks and other agencies licensed to conduct foreign exchange transactions.
It is said in the said circular, 'Unified circular-2078 issued to the licensed entities for foreign exchange transactions and the circulars issued after that till 8th of Chaitra 2079 and the attached consolidated circular-2079 has been issued, this circular has been issued to make them do the same. '
Similarly, Nepal Rastra Bank has arranged that people traveling abroad cannot exchange more than 200 dollars. Where it is said, "A licensed money changer selling foreign currency can provide up to a maximum of two hundred US dollars for passports to Nepali citizens traveling abroad."
Similarly, it has been arranged that the public bodies to which the Public Procurement Law is applicable can make payments in convertible foreign currency to selected Nepali bidders after inviting international tenders for the purchase of goods, services, consultancy, construction work etc. Such facilities can be obtained through 'A' class commercial banks.
