Kathmandu. Ganesh Prasad Awasthi of Nabil Bank has been promoted to the post of Deputy General Manager (DGM). According to the bank, Awasthi was appointed as DGM by the meeting of the bank's board of directors.
Awasthi, who was previously the bank's Chief Business Officer ie Assistant General Manager, has been appointed as DGM. Awasthi, who has more than 2 decades of experience working in various commercial banks, was working as an Assistant General Manager for the past 3 years. Awasthi started his banking career in 2001 from the then NIC Bank, which is involved in credit and deposit operations.
He joined Global IME Bank in 2008 after working as the branch head of Kumari Bank. He joined Nabil Bank after working in Global IMAE Bank for more than 13 years.
Participating in various banking forums, Awasthi is more focused on credit management, business skills and customer service. He has a master's degree in economics and management from Tribhuvan University. He has also studied Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School.
