Commercial Banks of Nepal profit is 15 billion in the first quarter of 2080/081 as top 12 banks has decreased

Kathmandu. All 20 commercial banks have published their financial statements for the first quarter of the current year within the time limit given by the National Bank. In the first quarter of the current year, 20 commercial banks have earned a profit of 14.75 billion rupees. In the same period last year, banks earned a net profit of 16 billion 47 crore rupees.

The profits of the government-owned Nepal Bank and National Commercial Bank have decreased, while the Krishi Bikas Bank has seen negative results this year as in the same period last year. In the first quarter of the current year, the profits of Global IME, Prime, NMB, Machhapuchhre Himalayan, Standard Chartered Bank have increased, while the profits of Nabil Bank, Krishi Bikas Bank, NIC Asia, Siddharth Bank and others have decreased.

Nepal Investment Mega Bank has made the highest profit in the current year. The profit of Nepal Investment Mega Bank has also increased from 1.14 billion rupees to 1.52 billion rupees. The profit of Prabhu Bank, which is more profitable in terms of percentage in the current year, has increased to 1.3 billion rupees this year. During the same period last year, the profit of the bank was 705 million rupees.

Even though the profit of Nepal Investment Bank has seen a jump, it has become the second bank that earns more profit despite the decrease in the profit of Nabil. The profit of NIC Asia Bank, which is in competition with Nabil, has decreased, while the profit of Global IME Bank has increased but it does not seem to be able to surpass Nabil.

Nabil Bank, which made a profit of 1.57 billion rupees last year, has reduced its profit to 1.46 billion rupees in the first quarter of the current year. The profit of Global IME has increased from 1.18 billion to 1.22 billion rupees. Prabhu Bank has increased its profit from 70 million to 1.3 billion.

Machhapuchhre Bank, which earned a total profit of 45 crores in the end of October 2079, has increased its profit to 54 crores in this period of the current year. NMB Bank has also increased its profit from 90 crores to 96 crores.

The profit of Himalayan Bank has also increased from 53 million to 1.5 billion rupees. Standard Chartered has made a profit of 81 crores in October 2079 to 82 crores this year. The profit of Prime Bank improved significantly from 87 million to 1 billion 15 million rupees.

In the first quarter of the current year, the profit of Krishi Bikas Bank has been negative by Rs 88 crore. It seems that the profit of other 11 commercial banks has declined. The profit of NIC Asia Bank has decreased from 1.75 billion to 1.1 billion.

Siddharth Bank's profit also fell from 49 crores to 42 crores. The profit of Sanima Bank has decreased from 54 crores to 48 crores. Lakshmi Sunrise has earned a total profit of only 10 crores during this period of the current year. Compared to this period last year, the profit of the bank has decreased by 40 million rupees. The bank made a profit of Rs 50 crore last year.

Nepal Bank, another commercial bank owned by the government, also appears to be in the forefront of the list of large profit declines. The profit of this bank has been reduced from 600 million to 140 million at one time.

The profit of the government-owned Rastriya Banijya Bank has also decreased significantly. By the end of October 2079, the bank, which had earned a profit of one billion 24 million rupees, had to settle for only 85 million rupees by the end of October 2080. Citizens Bank's profit also seems to have shrunk from 500 million to 400 million. Everest Bank's profit has also dropped from 86 crores to 78 crores.

Kumari Bank had made a profit of one billion rupees at the end of October 2079, but at the end of October 2080, such profit has been limited to 26 million rupees. The profit of Nepal SBI Bank has also decreased from 62 crores to 47 crores.
