Kathmandu. 5 names have been selected for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Bank. The names of Ashok Kumar Paudel, Tilakraj Raj Pandey, Laxman Paudel, Dhruvachandra Gautam, Samata Pant have been selected for the CEO of the bank.

Based on the application, the names of 5 people have been selected and recommended to qualified and experienced people. Based on the evaluation of the candidate's educational qualification and work experience and the submitted professional action plan, 5 people were shortlisted and called for an interview on Wednesday, January 4th.

Now based on the presentation and interview given by the five people, the 3 people who get the highest marks will be recommended for CEO. And one of the three will become the CEO. Among the 5 shortlisted candidates, who will be the strongest candidate and who will compete for the position of CEO of the bank is being watched with interest.

Ashok Paudel

Ashok Paudel is the former Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank. He has a long experience in the Nepali banking sector and has recently rushed to lead various organizations.

He had earlier applied to become CEO of Krishi Bikas Bank and Executive Director of Social Security Fund. He has also applied for the CEO of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited. He is in the second position recommended by the CEO Selection Committee of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited.

Dhruba Gautam

Gautam, who retired from the position of Deputy General Manager of Agricultural Development Bank, also has a long experience of working in the Nepali banking sector. He worked for 22 years at Krishi Bikas Bank, which was performing the dual role of multi-faceted work and implementation of the government's policy in the financial sector as well as the work of a commercial bank.

Gautam, who has worked for almost a decade as a departmental head in recovery and troubled loans, has a long experience of working in SMEs as well. Stating that he got the opportunity to work as a regional director while in the Agricultural Development Bank, he said, 'I worked in risk management for 6-7 years, my expertise is in recovery because I spent a long time in this, and I also worked as a chief officer in corporate banking.'

Gautam, who holds a master's degree in management from Tribhuvan University, says that after becoming the CEO, he plans to change the technology of Nepal Bank in line with the times. In addition, he has a plan to complete the gap between the new and old generation, and take it to a new style as manpower management is done in a traditional way.

Tilakraj Pandey

Pandey, who has more than three decades of experience in the banking sector, is a product of Nepal Bank. After working in Nepal Bank for 29 years, he retired as Chief Manager. After leaving Nepal Bank, he worked as a consultant in Asian Development Bank for one year.

He joined the bank as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) when the then Vivaor Bikas Bank was in trouble. After the situation of Vivore Development Bank improved, it was merged with Lumbini Development Bank. And he went out.

He received his MBA from Tribhuvan University and worked for 1 year as an academic director at National Banking Institute, a joint investment of Nepal Rastra Bank and 20 other institutions.

Samata Pant

Pant, who is currently working as the CEO of Nepal Bank, is a possible candidate to become the CEO. She has worked for more than two decades in various responsibilities in Nepal Bank.

Pant has studied up to MBS. Pant, who has created an image of a hardworking and experienced banker in the banking sector, is presenting herself as a strong competition for CEO. Many have seen him as the future CEO of Nepal Bank. Presenting herself as a skilled banker, her husband is an executive officer of Rashtra Bank. She is also struggling to become the CEO of Nepal Bank.

Laxman Paudel

Paudel is currently working as the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Bank. He has done ABA from Tribhuvan University.

Having worked in Nepal Bank for two decades, he has worked as the head of various departments in the bank. He said that he will move forward by implementing the work he has done so far and the subjects learned from his experience.
