The governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, the regulator of Nepali banks and financial sector, Mahaprasad Adhikari has been targeted by hackers. The topic of asking for financial support from various people by creating a fake WhatsApp account using the governor's picture has now come out.

Rastra Bank has said that the hacker has created a WhatsApp account in the name of the Governor's official and asked for money from various people. Rastra Bank issued a notification and said that it has come to the knowledge that the name and picture of the governor officer has been misused by communicating with various people and asking for money. The National Bank has also requested to be aware of it.

"Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari has been found misusing the name and photo of Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari and communicating with various people by creating a WhatsApp account. All stakeholders and the general public are requested to be aware of this," said the notice issued by the National Bank.

Not only the governor's officer, but now also the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of various banks are making similar fake accounts and asking for financial assistance. It can be understood that those who are leading the banking sector are being targeted by hackers.

A email has been sent to various bankers in the name of Parshuram Kunwar Chhetri, former banker of Global IME Bank. According to Kuwar, an email has been sent in his name to the CEOs of various banks and the bank's top management staff.

Many other bankers have also said that they have received information that they are charging different people using their names and photos. The National Bank has also informed the CEOs to be aware of this matter.

Ramhari Dahal, Chief Executive Officer of Mero Micro Finance, has also informed that various individuals and groups are asking for money in his name. He said, 'I have received information that various people and groups have created my photo profile on the social network WhatsApp and have provided me with a bank account and demanded money, so I request everyone concerned to be aware of this criminal activity through fake number.
