Kathmandu. Two directors of Nepal Rastra Bank have been promoted to executive directors. Directors Dr. Dilliram Pokharel and Dirgha Rawal have been appointed as executive directors. With the promotion of two directors to executive directors of the central bank, some responsibilities have also been changed. Director Dr. Pokharel was promoted to the vacant executive director post after the retirement of former executive director Dr. Prakash Shrestha last week.
Similarly, Assistant Information Officer Dr. Bhagwat Acharya informed that Director Dirgha Rawal was promoted to the vacant post after the retirement of Executive Director Tulsi Ghimire on Monday. Along with the filling of the vacant executive post, responsibilities have also been changed. Pokharel, who became executive director last week, has become head of the banking department.
Rawal, who became executive director, is in charge of the head of the banking supervision department. Similarly, Executive Director Ramu Poudel, who is leading banking supervision, has become head of the currency management department. Similarly, Executive Director of currency management Pradeepraj Poudyal has been given the responsibility of the information technology department.
