Kathmandu, Commercial banks in Nepal have announced new interest rates for 2082 Chaitra. According to the published details, the average maximum interest rate for both individual and institutional deposits has decreased in Chaitra compared to Falgun.
According to the data, the average maximum interest rate for individual term deposits was 4.569 percent in Falgun, but it has decreased to 4.494 percent in Chaitra. Thus, the average interest rate for individual deposits has decreased by 0.075 percentage points.
Similarly, the average maximum interest rate for institutional term deposits has also decreased from 3.331 percent to 3.2925 percent, which is 0.0385 percentage points less.
Out of the twenty commercial banks, some banks have reduced interest rates, while many banks have maintained the same rates as the previous month. The bank that has reduced interest rates the most is Nepal Bank Limited, which has reduced individual term deposits by 0.6 percentage points.
Similarly, Standard Chartered Bank Nepal, Kumari Bank Limited, Krishi Bikas Bank Limited, Prime Commercial Bank Limited, and Global IME Bank Limited have also reduced interest rates for Chaitra.
