Commercial banks of Nepal profit increased 5.4 Percent as on Rs. 38.01 Billion Q3 FY 2083/083

Kathmandu. Commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 38 billion. According to Nepal Rastra Bank data, 20 commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs 38 billion 16.6 million in the first 7 months of the current fiscal year.

This profit is 5.40 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. Commercial banks had earned a profit of Rs 36 billion 67.9 million by the same period of the previous fiscal year. Half of the banks have seen an improvement in their profits by that period, while half of the banks have seen a decline in their profits compared to the previous fiscal year. Overall, although the profits of commercial banks have increased moderately, they are not very satisfactory.

Nabil Bank is the one earning the highest profit. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 5 billion 383.1 million by that period. The bank's profit has increased by 34.21 percent compared to the previous fiscal year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 4 billion 10 million by the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Global IME Bank is the one earning the second highest profit. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 4.14 billion 8.2 billion by the period, growing its profit by 6.62 percent. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 3.89 billion by the same period last year. Kumari Bank is the third highest earner. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 3.17 billion. This profit is 329.86 percent more than last year.
