Sanima Bank's net profit increases by 131 percent, Bank's EPS to Rs 29.17 and ROE to 15.60 percent.

Kathmandu. Sanima Bank has made public a very encouraging financial statement for the first quarter of the current fiscal year. According to the unaudited financial statement released by the bank, its net profit has seen unprecedented progress during the review period. The bank's net profit, which was around Rs 454.3 million in the same period of the last fiscal year, has increased by 131.13 percent to over Rs 1.05 billion in the same period of the current year.

Analysts believe that the bank's profit has reached this historic height due to the expansion of the business size, financial cost control and strict monitoring of loan recovery. This huge jump in profit clearly indicates that the overall internal health of the bank is becoming stronger.

This flood of profit has also had a direct and positive impact on the return of shareholders. Earnings per share (EPS) increased from Rs 13.15 in the first quarter of last year to Rs 29.17 in the current year. Similarly, the return on equity (ROE) of the bank has also increased from 7.68 percent to 15.60 percent.

The bank's total distributable profit per share has increased from Rs 19.27 paisa to Rs 27.58 paisa, while the total distributable profit for general shareholders has remained at more than Rs 1.99 billion. These indicators show that the bank has laid a strong foundation for its ability to provide attractive dividends to its investors in the coming days.

The bank has also maintained balanced and steady progress in terms of deposit collection and credit flow. During the review period, the bank's total deposits increased by 11.84 percent to Rs 254.93 billion, while net loans and advances increased by 1.69 percent to Rs 277.43 billion.

Another strong aspect of the bank's financial statements is the success achieved in controlling non-performing loans (NPAs). Total non-performing loans have declined from 3.91 percent in the first quarter of last year to 2.86 percent in the current year.
