Kathmandu. Merchant banks' dividends have tripled compared to the previous fiscal year. Merchant banks, which paid an average of 10.33 percent dividend in the previous fiscal year, will pay an average of 27.81 percent dividend from the last fiscal year's profit.
In the previous fiscal year, NMB Capital was the capital that paid the highest dividend to the shareholders.
The capital had paid a dividend of 21.05 percent in the previous fiscal year and has proposed to pay 30 percent dividend from the dividend of the last fiscal year.
Similarly, NIC Capital has been seen declaring high dividend from last fiscal year's profit. It has proposed a total dividend of 48 percent. Similarly, Prabhu Capital has declared a total dividend of 40 percent.
Capital's general meeting announced a 22.38 percent bonus and a 17.61 percent cash dividend. So far, the three capitals have only declared a dividend by holding a general meeting.
Similarly, Sunrise Capital has also proposed a 40 percent dividend. Of the nine capitals, some have already convened a general assembly and some are yet to convene.
Similarly, Citizens Capital has proposed to distribute 40 percent dividend. NMB Capital has also proposed a 30 percent dividend.
Sampan Capital, on the other hand, has moved ahead with the process of distributing dividends even after holding a general meeting. The capital will pay a 25 percent bonus and a 1.31 percent cash dividend.
