Kathmandu. The government has announced in the budget of the coming fiscal year that all the branches of the bank must invest in concessional loans.

A branch of a commercial bank has to provide soft loan to at least 10 people. Similarly, a branch of a development bank will have to provide such concessional loan to at least five people. Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada while presenting the budget for the coming Fiscal Year 077/78 said that such arrangement will be implemented for the banks. In the coming fiscal year, the scope of concessional loans has also been increased in the budget to encourage bank mergers.
