Kathmandu. Withdrawals from interbank ATMs will be charged from 1 Sharwan 2077. The previous provision of no charge for withdrawing money from any bank's ATM will be removed from Thursday.

The Nepal Backers Association, Development Bankers Association Nepal and Nepal Financial Institutions Association have issued a joint statement stating that the decision on whether to charge or not to withdraw money from any bank's ATM can be taken by the concerned bank and financial institution.

From now on, the Nepal Clearing House will be able to decide on the fees charged for transactions through internet banking.
