Nepal Clearing House turnover of 96 trillion rupees in one year

Kathmandu. Nepal Clearing House (NCHL) has disbursed a total of over 26 million payments in the last fiscal year. The turnover in the last fiscal year is 22.25 more than the previous fiscal year. NCHL has transacted Rs 96 trillion through various payment systems. In addition, NCHL has transacted US ३२ 320 million, 238 million euros and 171 million pounds sterling through the same payment system.

NCHL, which has been continuously supporting the development of national level payment system, has reached a growth rate of 58.85 since its inception. At present, 77,115 payments worth an average of Rs 36.20 billion are transacted daily through various payment systems of NCHL.

Various payment and redemption systems including NCHL ECC, NCHL IPS and Connect IPS are in operation. In addition, it has been operating National Payments Interface and Connect RTGS to facilitate payment transactions of various institutions.

Developed as an integrated interface of various payment systems, NPI has now facilitated pair payment transactions to various service providers including banks, financial institutions, PSPs and PSOs.

Through these technologies, various payments and revenue collection including salary payment, third party payments have been made in government bodies. In the last fiscal year, interbank government payments of Rs. 219 billion and revenue collection of Rs. 3.12 billion have been collected through NCHL systems.
