NRB has issued five-point directive to banks and financial institutions for the flow of banking services during the ban period. According to the NRB, it has been asked to encourage the citizens to do business through electronic means, withdraw and keep cash and keep the services including LC for buying and selling essential services running smoothly.

Similarly, it has been directed to make arrangements to open limited branches for a limited period to provide services including opening of TT. Similarly, NRB has also laid down a rule that the details of open and closed branches should be posted on the bank's website.

The NRB has stated that the work related to international trade will not be stopped even during this period and all the banks have decided to keep their services open.
