Kathmandu. The Nepal Securities Board (NSB) has approved bonus shares worth Rs 1.40 billion in July alone. In addition, 14 million 5 thousand 713 bonus shares of 15 companies have been added to the stock market in July. Among the companies whose bonuses will be sanctioned are 7 microfinance, 3 insurance, 3 banks, one hydropower and one trust.
The board has listed 15 percent bonus shares of Samata MFI. The value of which is 9.18 million.
The listing of 13 percent bonus shares by Sparsh Microfinance Financial Institution has added an amount of Rs. 1,785,190 to the capital market.
Another microfinance institution to list bonus shares is New Nepal Microfinance Institution. The organization has distributed 20 percent bonus shares from the profits of the fiscal year 2075/76. It has distributed one lakh 68 thousand shares as bonus while the amount in the capital market is equal to one crore 68 lakh.
Similarly, Summit is the fourth microfinance institution. Of this, 21 percent bonus shares equal to Rs 44.3 million have been listed.
Similarly, there is another financial institution, Global IME Microfinance Financial Institution. Of this, 17 percent bonus shares equal to Rs. 38.66 million have been listed.

IME General Insurance has listed 6 percent bonus shares equal to Rs 61.226 million while Saptakoshi Development Bank has listed 6 percent bonus shares equal to Rs 472.26 million.
Similarly, 22 per cent shares of Citizen Investment Trust worth Rs 295.871 million, Prime Life Insurance Company 12 per cent equivalent to Rs 259.92 million and 10 per cent equivalent of Rs 6 million of Support Microfinance Institution have been listed.
