Kathmandu, The Employees Provident Fund led by NMB Bank and the Agriculture Development Bank will invest in the Seti River Hydropower Project under construction in Machhapuchhre village municipality of Kaski.
The project, promoted by Vision Lumbini Energy Promotion Company, is being constructed at a cost of around Rs 5 billion. Out of that, these three financial institutions will invest a loan of Rs 3.5 billion, he said in a program organized through video conference today.
The project will have 30 percent equity and 70 percent loan investment from banks and financial institutions. Investors from Butwal and Kaski are participating in the equity.
Chairman of Vision Lumbini Jagat Bahadur Pokharel informed that the project, which has been under construction for the past nine months, is targeted to be completed within the next 18 to 20 months.
