Eight Nepali commercial banks declared dividends of fiscal year 2076/77

Kathmandu. Eight different commercial banks have announced to pay dividend to the shareholders from the profit of the last fiscal year 2076/77.

Among the banks that have declared dividends, NIC Asia Bank will pay the most. NIC Asia Bank will pay 20 percent dividend to its investors. The bank has declared 19 percent bonus and 1 percent cash dividend.

Machhapuchhre Bank has proposed to pay 10.37 percent dividend. Of that, 7.03 percent is bonus and 3.37 percent is cash and 10.37 percent. The bank had distributed 16 percent dividend (5 percent bonus and 11 percent cash) in the previous fiscal year.

Global IME Bank has announced a 16 percent dividend from last year's profit to its shareholders. The bank has proposed to distribute 14 percent bonus and 2 percent cash dividend. The bank had distributed 25.75 percent dividend to the shareholders in the previous fiscal year with 12.75 percent bonus and 12.75 percent cash.

Similarly, Bank of Kathmandu will distribute 16 percent dividend. The bank has announced to distribute 13 percent bonus and 3 percent cash dividend from last year's profit. The bank had distributed 6 percent bonus and 11 percent cash dividend in the previous fiscal year.

Kumari Bank, on the other hand, has declared more dividend than the previous year. The bank, which had distributed 10.52 percent dividend (10 percent bonus and 0.52 percent cash) in the previous fiscal year, is going to distribute a total of 14 percent dividend with 10 percent bonus and 4 percent cash from last year's profit.

Compared to the previous year, the dividend rate of Sanima Bank has also decreased last year. The bank, which had distributed 21.05 percent dividend (10 percent bonus and 11.05 percent cash) in the previous fiscal year, is going to distribute 13.6 percent dividend to the shareholders from the last fiscal year's profit. Out of which 10 percent is bonus and 3.6 percent is cash dividend.

Standard Chartered Bank has also declared last year's dividend. The bank is proposing to distribute a total of 11.84 percent dividend to the shareholders with 7 percent bonus and 4.84 percent cash. The proposed dividend of the bank is under consideration in Nepal Rastra Bank.

Similarly, the dividend rate of Citizens Bank has also declined. Although the bank has reduced the dividend rate, it has increased the bonus share. The bank, which had distributed 15 percent dividend in the previous fiscal year, has proposed 11 percent dividend in the last fiscal year. The bank had proposed to distribute 3 percent bonus and 12 percent cash dividend in the previous fiscal year, while the bank has proposed to distribute 7.7 percent bonus and 3.3 percent cash dividend from the last fiscal year's profit.

Only after the proposal of all these banks is approved by the Nepal Rastra Bank and passed by the general meeting of the concerned bank, the shareholders of the concerned bank will get the same amount of dividend.
