Kathmandu. The Board of Directors of Bank Himalayan Bank Limited has formed a committee for merger and acquisition. A merger / acquisition sub-committee has been formed under the coordination of bank director Sunil Bahadur Thapa. The sub-committee was formed by the bank following the policy of promoting merger / acquisition put forward by Nepal Rastra Bank with the objective of strengthening and enabling the financial sector of Nepal, said Ashok Rana, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.
The sub-committee formed by the board of directors is working to find suitable banks and financial institutions for merger / acquisition as well as study and analysis. The bank has not yet made a decision on the merger.
