Kathmandu. Police have arrested 41-year-old Purna Lama, a fugitive defendant in a banking case, from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-30, Lalitpur and Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15, Nakhipot.

He was arrested from Lalitpur Jawalakhel by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) at the Police Headquarters, Maharajgunj.

The Patan High Court had ruled that a company called Ledger Infotech Nepal Pvt. Ltd., which did not have sufficient balance in its account, could be paid from Lama's savings account in Sanima Bank Ltd. and cut the check for the same amount.

 He was produced before the district court in Kathmandu for execution of the verdict, the bureau said.
