The financial position of the government based on banking business was Rs. 10.23 billion

Kathmandu, In the first four months of the current Fiscal Year 2077/78, the financial position of the government based on banking business was Rs. 10.23 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. This is shown by the recent data of Nepal Rastra Bank on the current economic and financial condition of public countries. In the corresponding period of the previous year. 65.92 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

During the review period, the total expenditure of the Federal Government based on banking transactions (excluding direct payment and unpaid checks) was Rs. 250.41 billion. Such expenditure was Rs. 219.17 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Similarly, revenue collection based on banking transactions (including the amount to be distributed at the state government and local level) is Rs. 240.15 billion. In the corresponding period of the previous year, the total revenue collection was Rs. 275.02 billion.

As of mid-November 2012/13, the bank had a cash balance of Rs.40.90 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. Out of this, the federal government has transferred Rs. 29.90 billion to the state government including grants and revenue to be distributed from the divisive fund. Similarly, the state governments have mobilized Rs. 10.99 billion from revenue and other sources during this period.
