Inter-bank ATM transactions will be charged By NRB Directions

Kathmandu. There is now a charge for withdrawing money from another bank's ATM machine with one bank's ATM card. This arrangement will be implemented from January 15 (2077 Magh 15).

Banks and financial institutions have been charged a fee for withdrawing money from another bank's ATM machine at banks and financial institutions since the government started cashing in on the risk of covid. On Thursday, the National Bank of Nepal (NBN) issued a directive exempting banks and financial institutions from charging fees for inter-bank ATM transactions.

According to NRB, customers will still be able to transact up to two inter-bank ATMs free of cost. NRB has stated that a fee of up to Rs. 20 per transaction can be levied for more than two transactions.

Similarly, NRB has also set a fee for the customers using internet and mobile banking and has directed the banks and financial institutions to make arrangements for the customers to reset their mobile and internet banking usernames and passwords in case they forget.
