Kathmandu. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has suggested the Nepalese entrepreneurs to use the single digit interest rates of Nepal's banks and financial institutions and increase investment in industrial and commercial activities.
Addressing the swearing in and handover meeting of the Birtamode Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the chief guest, I urge our business friends in Nepal that the interest rate in Nepal is now in single digits, make good use of it and increase investment in economic activities.
Senior Vice President Dhakal said that the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has lobbied with the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank for the interest rate.
He said, “After the private sector entrepreneurs complained that the interest rate of the bank has gone up for investment and increase of business activities in Nepal, it was led by the federation and I also joined as the leader of an entrepreneur and commercial bank, which has brought the interest rate to single digits.
Senior Vice President Dhakal also said that businessmen from Jhapa or any other region or district of the country should explore the local possibilities and opportunities there.
He said that for the growth of business and economic activities and for the development and expansion of entrepreneurship, we, the entrepreneurs, should look for opportunities and possibilities at our local places and levels as well.
He said that the new leadership of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has adopted a policy of moving ahead by putting forward the 'Vision 2030' paper and determining the needs and priorities of the country's private sector.
