Corona infection rate is more than 5 percent uncontrolled - Dr. Prabeen Shrestha

It has been almost a year and a half since the corona infection started in the world and its terror is still going on. As of the first week of April this year, more than 130 million people worldwide have been infected with corona and more than 2.5 million have lost their lives.

During this time many waves of Corona Pandemic have come to the world, many more waves are yet to come. Its waves are not the same in all parts of the world. Depending on the place and the geographical situation, there is a second, a third and a fourth wave.

Even though it is said that there is a third wave of pandemic in the world now, it is difficult to say with certainty how many waves it is. World Health Organization (WHO) figures put the current wave of corona at fourth. The first wave came around March-April 2020. At that time, about 90,000 people were infected worldwide every day.

The second wave started around July-August and around 25,000 new infections appeared daily. The third wave, which started in November, reached its peak in December-January. At that time, the daily infection had reached 80,000. The fourth wave has started since March, when the number of new infections was limited to half of the daily ones due to the third wave in February.

According to statistics, the second wave was about three times bigger than the first and the third wave was about three times bigger than the second. Similarly, if the fourth wave is increasing, it will certainly be three times bigger than the third, but it will be bigger. Then the situation of the world and the entire human race may be beyond our imagination. This is what the whole world needs to know and understand.

The United States (North, Central and South America) was the largest contributor to the growth of the pandemic in the world. The pandemic wave of the world is similar to the pandemic wave of the Americas. The size of the pandemic varies greatly in Europe. Pandemic peaks reached two months after the first corona infection appeared in Europe at the end of January last year. At that time, 30,000 to 40,000 new infections appeared daily. After that, the daily infection decreased slightly and remained stable till the end of August. Suddenly, the daily increase increased to 7-8 times more than the first wave. Although some ups and downs, the same trend is still going on in Europe.

The first wave of pandemic infections in Africa was in June-July last year, although the number of infections was low in the early stages. At that time, the daily infection was less than 20,000. When the second wave appeared in December and January this year, the infection rate was about one and a half times higher than the first. Between the first and second waves in Africa, the daily transition reached about 4,000. At present, there is a decrease in the number of infections, but more than before, that is, 8-10 thousand per day.

In South Asia, there is now a second wave of Corona Pandemic. Although the pandemic waves in this region vary from country to country, the current second wave appears to have occurred in March this year. At that time, about 20,000 to 25,000 new infections were seen daily.

In South Asia, the pandemic, which started rising from April-May last year, had reached around 90,000 daily by September. Since then, the daily wave has been declining from 20,000 to 25,000 in February this year, and the second wave is continuing.

Recently, about 10,000 new infections are appearing daily in South Asia, which is bigger than the first wave. If a new transition is seen at the same pace, the second wave is sure to be much bigger than the first.

India has been the biggest contributor to the rise of Pandemic in South Asia. The pandemic wave across South Asia is similar to that of India. A total of 1,447,530 people have been infected in the region as of April 5, and 1,95,913 people have lost their lives.
