Mega Bank (MEGA) has reported a 35 percent increase in profit in the third quarter of the current fiscal year.
The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 1.97 billion in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, an increase of 35.95 percent.
The bank's net interest income rose 28 percent to Rs 4.8 billion during the period, while operating profit rose 33 percent. During this period, the bank has set aside Rs. 270 million for possible risks.
The bank's distributable profit has also increased from Rs 450 million to Rs 1.29 billion.
During the review period, the bank's deposit mobilization increased by more than 4 percent and credit investment increased by 32 percent.
The bank, which currently has a paid-up capital of Rs 14.65 billion, has Rs 2.97 billion in reserves. However, the bank's earnings per share has not increased due to capital increase. At present, the bank's earnings per share is Rs 18 and net worth per share is Rs 136.
