Kathmandu: Arun Kabeli Power's profit has increased dramatically in the third quarter of the current fiscal year. Profit increased by 348.15% to Rs. 203.29 million during the review period. It had earned a net profit of Rs 45.36 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. The increase in net profit is due to increase in revenue from sale of electricity.

Revenue from sale of electricity has increased by 134.84% to Rs. 516.9 million in one year. Last year, it had earned Rs 221.17 million from the sale of electricity. Income from other sources, which was Rs 430,000 last year, has reached Rs 542,000 this year.

By mid-April, Arun Kabeli's earnings per share stood at Rs 17.09 and net worth per share at Rs 112.98. The paid up capital is Rs 1.58 billion and the reserve fund is Rs 20.57 million.
