Kathmandu. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has given priority to nine sectors in the budget of the Fiscal Year 2078/79. As the House of Representatives has been dissolved, the government has released the budget through an ordinance.
The government has identified nine priority areas of the budget including vaccination, employment, investment in health infrastructure, life-sustaining education and industrialization, said the Finance Minister.
80,000 loan to buy laptop for students above 16 years, free SIM card. Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced to provide Rs. 80,000 at 1 percent interest rate to the students studying in public schools or above to buy a laptop. Such loan brought for alternative learning will have to be repaid within 2 years.
Concessional loan up to Rs. 2.5 million with graduation or above educational certificate. Those who have graduated and above have now been able to get a loan of up to Rs 2.5 million at 5 percent interest on the security of a certificate.
Similarly, it has been announced through the budget that a loan of up to Rs 2.5 million at 1 percent interest will be provided to startups with project collateral.
